Neeraj Grover's body was not chopped, says Maria's lawyer
Dismissing allegations that the body was cut up, he also said that the body was intact and there were no burn marks on Neeraj's body.
Photographs of Neeraj were also shown in the press conference to prove Maria's innocence.
" I am innocent, I will challenge the court's verdict," said a calm and composed Maria who claimed innocence.
When questioned about the whole issue Maria said that she was innocent and denied revealing further on the case. Maria further said that she had left her past behind, not sure of what she will do in her life. Her coming out of the jail was still a surprise to her.
Talking about the time she spent in jail, she said that the jail time was 'blessed'.
"I am under pressure and will not comment on Neeraj Grover," said Maria.
Sympathising with Neeraj's family Maria said: "I sympathise with Neeraj Grover's family. It is very difficult to lose someone you love."
"Maria will go to her hometown and wont work in movies or serials," said Shaikh.
Meanwhile Neeraj Grover's friends gathered at the press conference and accused Maria of killing Grover.
Susiraj who was acquitted in the Neeraj Grover murder case along with her naval officer and fiance, Emily Jerome Mathew, was freed after she was let off by the Mumbai High Court. She was asked to pay a sum of Rs 50,000 to the Grover family.
Emily Jerome Mathew was given 10 years jail by the court which found him "guilty of culpable homicide not amounting to murder".
Neeraj Grover was killed in 2008 at Malad West in a flat. His body was cut into pieces after he died and then burnt near Manor in Thane.
