Google said that it has made "series of interface updates" to help strip out unnecessary clutter and make Gmail as beautiful as it is powerful. This is part of a Google-wide effort to bring you an experience that"s more focused, elastic, and effortless across all of our products.
"We"re kicking things off with two new themes for you to try out as a sort of sneak peek at what we"re up to. Starting today, you"ll see the “Preview" and “Preview (Dense)" themes in the Themes tab in Gmail Settings," Google said in its Gmail blog.
Google said that they are still working on new changes and once it is ready with new features, it will be in users' hands. Google rolled out new themes for Gmail and asked readers for their feed backs to make more changes.
"We know that you love and care about Gmail as much as we do, and we"ll be working on these upgrades gradually over the next few months to allow plenty of time to understand and incorporate your feedback into the evolving design."
The basic idea of the new change is to make Gmail more attractive and clutter-less. Earlier, Google made similar changes to its search engine, which looks more attractive now, Google introduced a black menu bar in search engine home page and removed all ads in the search result page.
Google introduced all these changes just few days after it announced it's social networking site Google+. With the new facelift makeovers and Google+, the California-based Google is planning to dominate the market, which it has been facing threat from Facebook. Google planning to take it's rivalry with Facebook to new levels, at the same time want its domination in display ad market.
