Omar meets PHD Chamber delegation on trade, commerce issues

Srinagar, July 1: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah held consultations with a delegation of the PHD Chamber of Commerce (PHDCC) yesterday in connection with several issues related to trade and commerce.

The delegation, led by S Bhandari, met the Chief Minister yesterday informing him of the initiatives PHDCC has planned to help the growth of trade and the commerce industry in the state, an official spokesman said.

The PHDCC delegation evinced interest in the agriculture, health and education sectors, saying these fields provide vast potential for generating trade links and collaborating in economic ventures, he said.

They also appreciated the Chief Minister's innovative initiatives for the development and growth of trade and industry in the state for generating wide-ranging economic activities and creating jobs for youth, he added.
