Oomen Chandy
Thiruvananthapuram, July 1: In a novel move to ensure transparency in administration, a 24-hour live webcasting facility from the official chamber of Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy at the state secretariat was inaugurated today (Jul 1).

Chandy also inaugurated a toll-free number that would shortly become functional in his office to make it operational round the clock. A website -- www.keralacm.gov.in -- dedicated to the Chief Minister was also inaugurated, with facility for citizens to lodge petitions and tracking petitions to Chandy.

The people can watch live meetings, press conferences and cabinet briefings by logging on to ''www.keralacm.gov.in''.

Speaking to reporters, Chandy said the live webcast was part of government policy to ensure transparency in the administration. The scheme was one of the items included in Chief Minister's 100-day action plan.
