Facebook-based novel by Indian author released

New Delhi, July 1: First, a critically acclaimed movie and now a book; netizens' fascination with the social networking site Facebook refuses to cease.

Indian engineer and author Punit Sethi's book ''Luv U Mate,'' recently released in the capital by Minister of HRD (Education), Communication and IT Kapil Sibal is touted as the first fiction in the world based on the social networking site Facebook.

The book is not a run-of-the-mill romantic novel, but deals with love in the virtual world.

"The book is a different kind of narrative of simple day-to-day situations with easy language and flowing writing style," said Sibal while releasing the book. The book has been praised by the international media and promises to be a bestseller.
