Congress lauds PM's effort to talk to media

New Delhi, Jun 29: The Congress has lauded Prime Minister Manmohan's Singh's effort to speak to the media in a press conference. Congress spokesperson, Jayanthi Natarajan spoke vehemently and justified the comments made by the PM in the press meet. She also reiterated that the party's view and that of the PM is one and the same.

She also voiced the Congress' view and stood by the stand that the PM should not fall under the purview of the Lokpal ambit. She cited that many eminent persons in the government's drafting committee shared the same thoughts.

She also said that discussions were still on whether the PM should come under the Lokpal's jurisdiction and stated that in a democracy everyone's views count and that they will hear everyone's opinions before coming to a decision.
