Journo J Dey case solved, Underworld link unearthed:Mum Cops

Mumbai, Jun 27: Mumbai police finally claimed that they have cracked the journalist J Dey murder case which has been haunting the cops since Jun 11. Several allegations embarrassed the Mumbai cops. However, the police on Monday, Jun 27 confirmed under-world, especially Chhota Rajan's connection in J Dey murder case.

Informing about their recovery of murder weapon, police officials, during a press co0nference on Monday, confirmed that the main shooter of Chhota Rajan's gang was involved in J Dey murder. The journalist was followed for three consecutive days and total three groups were involved in the killing, police said.

Mumbai police earlier had detained seven people in the matter. The accused killers hail from the states of Maharashtra and Karnataka. They were all arrested after the questioning of more than 70 suspects by the Mumbai Police.

On Jun 11, Dey, a senior crime journalist with the Mumbai-based tabloid MiD DAY, was shot dead by a group of unidentified men outside a shopping mall in Powai on June 11.
