HD Kumaraswamy-BS Yeddyurappa
Bangalore, Jun 22: After Chief Minister of Karnataka BS Yeddyurappa and former CM HD Kumaraswamy threatened to take their fight to the gods on June 27, both seem to have developed cold feet ahead of the D-day. Both had vowed to clear their stand in front of Lord Manjunatheswara at Dharmasthala to prove their innocence in the various allegations fired against each other.

Following a public outcry on the matter where the public slammed the political leaders of engaging in gimmickry by vowing in the temple. It is most likely that they will not resort to this drama, though an official announcement is yet to be made.

But not the sort of person who will take things lightly, Yeddyurappa has decided to file a defamation suit against Kumaraswamy and opposition leader Siddaramaiah. He also issued a warning and said that he will soon release a chargesheet against Gowda and his family.

In a fresh salvo on the various allegations against the BJP government and Yeddyurappa himself, he was quoted as saying, “To defame my government, they are making baseless allegations. I will explain the developmental works to my people in detail."

Sources have revealed that that there will no consequence with the defamation suit but will only help silence Kumaraswamy for the time being. Yeddyurappa is also irate at Siddaramaiah, for spreading baseless rumours against him and saying that he has evaded income tax worth Rs 339.54. He said on the allegations, “There is no truth in these allegations. If Siddaramaiah has records, he should prove it. He has to face legal consequences otherwise."
