MiD DAY journo death: Bombay HC grants more time to police
The court allotted time to Mumbai police till Jul 16 to table another investigation report. The court also voiced for the police when it tried to show the progress in the probe in the murder case.
Earlier, media reports had claimed that police succeeded to access to Dey's emails, SMSs, and phone calls. With Dey's documents, police claimed to find out relevant evidences in the murder case.
Similar kind of support came to police from Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan who had urged Mumbai journalists to allow police to proceed with their probe in the assassination case.
J Dey was brutally killed on Jun 11 in the broad daylight outside his Mumbai residence in Powai. He was working as the chief crime reporter with MiD DAY.
