Woman found murdered in Mumbai train

Thane (Mah), Jun 18: A young woman was found murdered in the second-class compartment of a suburban train here, police said today (June 18).

The incident took place last night, when the patrol staff of Railway Protection Force on duty found the body of the woman in the rake, parked at the Kalwa car shed.

The body with deep stab wounds was found lying in the compartment shortly before midnight, they said adding it was not known yet when she was killed.

The victim, in her 20s could not be immediately identified and police is awaiting the postmortem report. The railway police have registered a case of murder and have launched a man hunt for the killers.
