Google Maps beats Facebook, tops UK's favourite app list

The research conducted by ComScore in collaboration with GSM found that Google Maps bagged more than 6.4 million users in the month of April 2011, beating Yahoo"s Weather app with 3.6 million customers.
According the research, world's largest social networking website with nearly 700 million users, Facebook, settled at third spot with 3.5 million users during the same period. The new report came amid allegations of Facebook's declined growth.
Google Mobile, YouTube and eBay ranked fourth, fifth and sixth positions respectively.
Another interesting finding of the research was the position of Sky apps in the connected app market. Sky Live Football Centre, Sky News, Sky+ and Sky Sports scored ranks in the top 20.
