Bhopal, Jun 16: Digvijay Singh, surely provides really entertaining sound bytes to the media. Whether he means them or not, or if anyone takes his jibes seriously, is a whole set of different things altogether, but the fact remains that his media interactions do never have a dull moment.

Speaking at the Indian Coffee House in Bhopal, Digvijay Singh on June 15, asked Anna Hazare to not to fast time and again, lest his age starts posing a serious problem.

Wishing Hazare on his 74th birthday, the Congress General Secretary said, "I wish him on his birthday, but would say that his age does not allow him to sit on fasts." He added, "But if they want it anyway, younger people like Arvind Kejriwal or Prashant Bhushan should fast."

Drawing parallels between Anna Hazare and the famous character of Nattha from Hindi Movie Peepli Live, tthe two-time Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh said, "But if they want it anyway, younger people like Arvind Kejriwal or Prashant Bhushan should fast."

As is the trend nowadays, how can any media interaction of Digvijay Singh go without a question on Baba Ramdev. Casting a doubt on the Baba's ability to teach proper yoga, the Congress General Secretary said, "Ramdev's yoga is not even the right way of yoga... if you ask yoga experts, most of them would disagree with his style of yoga."

Heaping further agony on the yoga guru's efforts to flee the police action in a women's garb, Digvijay Singh said, "Like Ramdev, the maulana of Lal Masjid in Pakistan used to speak on corruption frequently, but when Pervez Musharraf held an operation there, he too escaped wearing women's clothes. All of them are fundamentalist people. They speak a lot, but when it comes to facing consequences, they escape."

Time for Baba Ramdev to retort back. No surprises if another political slugfest gets underway.
