Father and son killed by unidentified militants

Srinagar, Jun 15: A youth was killed by few unidentified militants in Shopian district of south Kashmir. According to the officials, the militants stormed into the house of Manzoor Ahmad Dar at Vishru village in Keller area of Shopian district, 65 kms from Srinagar, at around 11.00 pm on Tuesday night, Jun 14.

They said the ultras opened indiscrimite firing on Dar before fleeing from the spot. The relatives of the 25-year-old youth rushed him to the local hospital. But, he died on the way.

This was the second murder by the militants in the same family. Abdul Jabbar, father of the slain youth, was shot dead in similar circumstances in the early days of militancy.
