Congress has constituted 455 teams to carry on the campaign which will address 10,901 public meetings in all 5000-odd gram panchayats and in cities and towns in an exercise also aimed at countering a similar movement being contemplated by the ruling dispensation.

With this Congress is making efforts to revive the party, the poll fortunes of it has nose dived since 2004, after it was unseated from power.

In the wake of Operation Lotus carried out by ruling BJP under which it lured MLAs from oppositon parties into its fold, both Congress and JDS have been struggling to face the challenges posed by the saffron party after it came to power in 2008.
