UP minor death: 2nd postmortem confirms Murder not Rape

Lucknow, Jun 13: The second postmortem report on Monday, Jun 13 confirmed that the minor girl in Lakhimpur in Uttar Prsdesh was murdered. Though, the report did not confirm anything on Rape.

The first postmortem report, however, had claimed that the 14-year-old girl committed suicide. The latest update in the story will definitely harm the image of Mayawati government.

The Lucknow DIG also claimed that the second autopsy report confirmed murder but it (2nd autopsy report) has not provided any clue on rape.

The girl was allegedly raped and murdered by six police officials. The accused have been suspended but Mayawati government has not arrested any accused cops in the case.

Uttar Pradesh police also claimed that the victim was strangled to death. Earlier, the victim's family informed that they were offered Rs 5 lakh bribe to keep silence on the case.

The minor girl's brother is believed to be the eye-witness as he reportedly saw some policemen throwing the victim's body on the very same-day of the crime on Friday, Jun 10.

A thorough investigation has been conducted in the alleged rape-murder case. The Crime Branch Criminal Investigation Department (CB-CID) team has already reached Lakhimpur.
