Facebook 'Happening Now' gives real-time updates

The new feature called 'Facebook Happening Now ' adds the ability to see users what their sharing or liking. The new feature is almost similar to micro-blogging site Twitter's service that offers sharing feature up to 140 characters along with the links.
"We are currently testing a feature within News Feed that gives people the ability to see what their friends are commenting on and 'liking', as these actions are being taken on Facebook."
"This test includes a small percentage of Facebook users, just a fraction of a percent. In the coming weeks, as we learn more from this test, we"ll keep making improvements and may expand it to more people," Facebook said to The Next Web.
The new Happening Now will appear on the right side of a user"s feed, displaying what friends are doing on Facebook. Anyhow, Happening Now shows only news feeds and not the status updates from their friends. So, it would be the new way to get more connected.
