Apple to launch new MacBook Air laptops on Jun 15

San Francisco, Jun 13: Gadget market rumor mills reported that the iPhone maker Apple is planning to launch the updated version of its MacBook Air laptops based on Intel's latest Sandy Bridge microprocessors.

Various technology blogs added that the new Apple MacBook Air laptops will be launched on Wednesday, Jun 15. The refreshed MacBook Air line-ups will get the super-fast Thunderbird I/O technology, the new connection technology that provides high speed data transfer between two devices.

Featuring two bi-directional channels with transfer speeds up to an amazing 10Gbps each, Thunderbolt delivers PCI Express directly to external high performance peripherals such as RAID arrays, and can support FireWire and USB consumer devices, and Gigabit Ethernet networks via adapters.

The AppleInsider reported that latest generation of MacBook Air notebooks will have the same 11.6 inch and 13.3 inch size and will begin its mass production in Jun itself.
