Ramdev continues his hunger strike even on ninth day

New Delhi, June 12: It seems that the repulsion between Baba Ramdev and the Congress-led UPA would seek no end. The yoga icon continues his fasting and entered the ninth day on Sunday, June 12.

Baba Ramdev planned to go for fast-unto-death over the issues demanding capital punishment for corrupt officials and to put the government under pressure to recover the black money stashed away in Swiss banks by the wealthy indians.

The determined Baba, who started his fasting from Saturday, June 4 received the full support of the BJP. Ramdev would complete his ninth day of fasting today yet, the government is not paying heed to BJP.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar had earlier persuaded Ramdev to give up his decision of fasting as his health has been deteriorating. Sri sri would meet Ramdev for the third time on Sunday, June 12 to persuade him to call off his fast.

Not only that Baba have lost weight drastically but also, the doctors have been fearing that Baba's fight against corruption might cost him huge, he might slip into coma.

"Baba Ramdev is not in a situation to speak. The issue is sensitive. If the government wants me to do something , I will do it," said Sri Sri Ravishankar.

Sri Sri is playing a role of a mediator between Ramdev and Law Minister Veerappa Moily, who ruled out direct conversations with the Baba.

"Sri Sri Ravishankar said he was going to Haridwar anyway and would meet Ramdev. He asked me and I said go ahead. He is very concerned about welfare of country and the running of the government. So he has gone to meet Ramdev," said Moily.
