Music composer Ismail Darbar wants to join BJP, praises Modi

Vadodara, Jun 12: Noted music composer Ismail Darbar, who hails from Gujarat, has said that he wants to join BJP and is waiting for a nod from the Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

In an interview to a private channel today, Darbar said, "I have met BJP chief Nitin Gadkari in Nagpur and discussed my plans with him. He has blessed them, and now I am waiting for an affirmative answer from Modi."

"Being born in Surat, I have special regard for the city and the state of Gujarat where a lot of development has taken place after Modi took over... that is why I am inclined to join BJP, for doing something for the city and the state," said the composer, who shot to fame with the film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam''.
