Dey's postmortem report out

The report says that five bullets had hit him. Amongst those five bullets hit him in the left chest and one at his right shoulder.
Jyotirmoy Dey, a senior journalist with an English tabloid, Mid Day who was shot dead in broad daylight by four unidentified bike-men who pumped five bullets on him from behind in suburban Powai on Saturday, June 11. Jyoti Dey, wrote extensively on underworld crime for a long time.
The Mumbai police confirmed that the murder was committed by proffessionals from underworld. Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan met top policemen in Mumbai to check on the progress of investigations.
The police have taken the CCTV footage of around the spot where Dey was murdered, and would survey the footage.
Maharashtra PWD minister Chhagan Bhujbal said,"I knew him for long and was a friend for 15 years. He wrote for many newspapers. I don't know why he was shot dead. Maybe some reporting of his had hurt some mafia. We have a lost an important reporter in the State."
Infact Dey's death had left many journalists in shock, who has blamed the government in failing to protect journalists.
