Crucial high-power committee meet of DMK gets underway

Chennai, June 10: A crucial meeting DMK's high-powered committee meeting to decide its ties with Congress and possible pull-out from UPA government in the backdrop of its ministers being linked with 2G spectrum scam began here this evening. DMK has six representatives in the government.

The meeting, presided by party chief M Karunanidhi, is likely to go into the drubbing DMK received in April 13 assembly polls and was relegated to third position in the political arena, behind DMDK of actor politician Vijaykanth.

Top party leaders, including Karunanidhi''s two sons, M K Alagiri and M K Stalin are attending the meeting.
