Small sugar ends mixed in lacklustre trade

Mumbai, Jun 9: Small sugar variety ended mixed at the Vashi wholesale market here today (June 9) due to alternate bouts of buying and selling. Meanwhile, medium sugar variety held steady in the absence of market moving factors.

Small sugar (S-30) were quoted at Rs 2,622/2,672 per quintal from overnight closing level of Rs 2,621/2,681.

However, medium sugar (M-30) closed unaltered at Rs 2,681/2,821 per quintal.

The following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal), with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,622/2,672 (Rs 2,621/2,681).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,681/2,821 (Rs 2,681/2,821).
