Baba Ramdev starts Maunvrat, likely to be fed forcefully

Haridwar, Jun 9: The "mentally and spiritually strong" yoga guru, Baba Ramdev on Thursday, Jun 9 began maunbrat (vow of silence). Baba's maunbrat after hunger-strike likely to enhance jittery for the government.

Doctors claimed that if the yoga guru's health would deteriorate further, he (Ramdev) will be fed forcefully. However, sources also informed that Baba agreed to take lemonade and honey, though refused to have food.

Despite his weakening health, the yoga guru continues his fast which has entered sixth day on Thursday. Ramdev started his hunger-strike at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan over black money issue and corruption in general.

Delhi police attacked the Baba and his supporters at Ramlila Maidan and was forced to return to Haridwar. The defiant yoga guru then resumed his fast in his own ashram.
