Facebook Face Recognition: Tagging made simple!

The new Facebook Face Recognition will help the users to find face in the new photo and reduces the tagging process. Earlier, users have to select each person in the photo to tag with it. Now, the tagging process is just a click away.
But, when this feature was rolled out in US, security experts warned of data breach with auto suggestion. A person, who doesn't want to be tagged in a particular photo will not get the option to opt out of it. Experts said that Facebook was giving permission to use others data without their permission.
But, putting all worries aside, Facebook said that those who want to turn off the Tag Suggestion can do it through Privacy Settings.
"We launched Tag Suggestions to help people add tags of their friends in photos; something that"s currently done more than 100 million times a day," a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement.
How to Change Privacy Settings:
- Go to your Privacy Settings on Facebook.
- Click on Customise settings at the bottom.
- Under 'Things others share' you should see an option titled 'Suggest photos of me to friends. When photos look like me, suggest my name.'
- Click on Edit Settings.
- Change the option from Enabled to Disabled.
- Click OK.
"Tag Suggestions are only made to people when they add new photos to the site, and only friends are suggested. If for any reason someone doesn"t want their name to be suggested, they can disable the feature in their Privacy Settings."
