Ramdev booted out: PM, Sonia kill democracy, says Sushma

Sushma Swaraj
New Delhi, Jun 5: After Nitin Gadkari and LK Advani, now BJP leaders - Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley have hurled their joint attack on the prime minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi. Citing the government's attack on Baba Ramdev and his followers, the two BJP leaders claimed that the PM and Sonia Gandhi have killed democracy in the country.

Criticising Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh for calling Ramdev a "fraud", Jailtley claimed, "If government knew Ramdev was a cheat, why did they personally go to welcome him in the airport?"

Extending his criticism on Digvijay, Jaitley also claimed, "Should Ramdev give up his responsibilities of the society just because he teaches yoga? Digvijaya Singh's attack was bad."

Sushma and Jaitley echoed the statement presented by Advani. India is mulling towards another emergency as the UPA government has increased their atrocities,' said Advani while slamming the UPA government over Ramdev issue.

BJP will conduct a meeting at 5 pm on Sunday, Jun 5. The party also will start 24-hour satyagraha at Delhi's Rajghat on the same day.

Ramdev, whose hunger-strike was diminished at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan, was airlifted to Haridwar via Dehradun on Sunday. Baba held fast demanding an ordinance to repatriate black money from abroad, capital punishment for people convicted for corruption and speedy trials of persons accused of graft.
