Saudi flight grounded at Mumbai airport due to technical snag
The flight SV-744 was originally scheduled at 8 AM yesterday from the airport here but was delayed due to a technical glitch, a Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) official said on Tuesday, May 31.
According to Saudia sources the airline has accommodated 248 stranded passengers in various hotels. The rest 22 were flown by a connecting flight to Damascus.
A technical team, flown down from Saudi Arabia is working on the grounded aircraft, they said.
The aircraft, which has been stranded for more than 26 hours now, is expected to be fit for flying only by 5 PM on Tuesday, May 31 they said.
