Samsung wants to see Apple iPhone 5, iPad 3!

New York, May 30: The legal battle between technology giants Apple and Samsung reached new heights as the South Korea based Samsung asked Apple to show their next versions of iPhone and iPad.

Samsung's lawyers filed a petition in the US District Court for the Northern District of California demanding Apple to show the samples of iPhone 5 and iPad 3. Samsung lawyers want "the final, commercial versions" of the next generation iPhone and iPad before Jun 13 to "evaluate whether a likelihood of confusion exists" between the Samsung and Apple products.

Earlier in May, Apple asked the court to order Samsung to hand over samples of the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9, the Galaxy S II, the Infuse 4G, and the Droid Charge to find out the similarities between the these products with Apple iPhone and iPad.

The legal dispute between these companies started when Apple filed suit against Samsung claiming that Samsung"s Galaxy products copied iPad and iPhone technology and design.

If Samsung manages to win the motion, its lawyers can taste the future Apple products before any consumers in the world. But, Samsung said that the motion is based on "internet reports" and "Apple"s past practice" of launching new versions on current products, which can be easily countered by Apple.
