Delhi HC rejects bail plea of 2G accused Karim Morani

New Delhi, May 30: The Delhi High Court on May 30 rejected the bail plea of Karim Morani, the owner of Cineyug Films Pvt Ltd in the 2G spectrum scam.

On Monday, the court is expected to pronounce its verdict on Kanimozhi, who is currently being lodged in Tihar jail along with former telecom minister A Raja and other 2G scam accused.

Morani had been accused of accepting Rs 6 crore kickbacks for assisting the Rs 200 crore transaction from DB Realty to Kalaignar TV. His earlier anticipatory bail plea on medical grounds was rejected by the special court on May 23.

Morani has been sent for judicial custody over the second generation telecom spectrum scam case.
