Tata Nano hits Srilankan market at Rs 3.80 lakh

Colombo, May 29: Tata Nano, hit the the Sri Lankan markets, priced at 9.25 lakh Sri lankan Rupees (LKR), 3.80 lakh Indian Rupees (INR) approximately on Saturday, May 28.

"Sri Lanka has become the first international market for the Tata Nano, with the people's car being commercially launched in the country today," said the company in a statement.

"Tata Motors has already established a firm footprint in international markets. The Tata Nano will play a major role in the next phase of growth of our international business," said Carl-Peter Forster, managing director and group CEO, Tata Motors.

A company spokesperson added that three different models of the car will be available at ex-showroom priced between LKR 9.25 lakh.
