MP: Government officer to go on fast against corruption

Khargone (MP), May 29: Unfazed by his suspension, a Madhya Pradesh government officer will go on an indefinite fast against corruption at Indore from on Monday, Ma 30.

Drawing inspiration from the anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare, Rajapur's Block Development Officer (BDO), R C Jhalania, had announced his intention to go on fast against corruption in government departments sometime back, following which he was suspended.

"I am inspired by Hazare to fight against corruption. I am undeterred by my suspension and come what may, I am going on fast," Jhalania told PTI today (May 29).

He said that his aim is to turn his struggle into a peoples' movement against corruption which is deep-rooted, starting from the secretariat to lower level. Jhalani was here to cobble up support for his protest.
