Man commits suicide after killing daughter

Jaipur, May 29: A 32-year-old contractor allegedly committed suicide in Subhash Nagar area here after killing his minor daughter, police said.

"Dilip Jangid (32) and his 7-year old daughter Niharika were found dead today in their room by their family members. His wife Usha had gone to her father's home for the last few days following some altercation with him," Gauri Shankar, investigation officer said.

Dilip administered poison to Niharika before consuming it himself. Prima facie, he said, the dispute between the husband-wife is the reason behind the extreme step.

The bodies have been shifted to SMS hospital for the postmortem, he added.
