Bollywood star Bipasha Basu arrested in Mumbai airport,freed

Mumbai, May 26: Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu was detained in Mumbai airport briefly on Thursday, May 26 by the custom officials over not paying tax.

Bipasha was let off by the customs after she paid Rs 12, 000 in taxes, sources from Mumbai international airport told on Thursday.

"I was asked to make an inventory of things and had to pay a tax of Rs 12,000. I had to pay for extra shopping expenditure. It was a routine check. I am clear now," claimed Bipasha while talking to a news channel.

Basu's name has recently been added with former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh over an alleged 'vulgar' conversation.

Recently, another actor Minisha Lamba was also arrested by the custom officials for carrying undeclared jewellery of Rs 50 lakh when she visited Cannes festival 2011.
