Pak blows a slap on India; 'wanted terrorists' list rejected

India and terrorism
Islamabad, May 25: The goof-up in the "most wanted terrorists" list made by India has been rejected by Pakistan. The neighbour country, extending India's embarrassment, advised India to retread the list.

India, in Jun 2010, had handed over the list to Pakistan, claiming that those listed 50 terrorists have taken shelter in that country (Pakistan). However, a terrific report unearthed the grave "mistake" by the Indian government that two of the listed terrorists, Wazhul Kamar Khan and Abdul Rashid Khan have been lodged in India's jail and not in Pakistan.

In a letter to the Indian Foreign Office, Pakistan's interior ministry claimed that India should first probe if the people named in the list have been "living in that country", as it turned out that two of them have been living there, an Online news agency reported quoting sources.

Earlier, Indian Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, accepting multiple errors in the list, said, "We take responsibility. It (goof-up in the list) is a mistake. How this mistake has happened has been explained subsequently."
