Congress delegation demands CBI probe into MP's murder

Meerut, May 25: A Congress committee delegation today met Meerut Police Commissioner Bhuvnesh Kumar and demanded a CBI probe into the murder of party MP Amar Pal Singh.

Amar Pal Singh was shot from point-blank range by unidentified assailants on November 15, 2010, at Attora village in Mawana. He was a three-time MP and had joined the Congress after leaving BJP.

The delegation comprising Harsaran Singh Jatava, Rajendra Sharma, Naseem Qureshi, Saleem Khan and Bhupendra Kumar alleged that the police have so far failed to recover the vehicle and the revolver used in committing the murder. The delegation demanded a CBI enquiry in the case.
