Terrorists trying to infiltrate into India: Antony
“The development in Pakistan, particularly in Karachi, is a matter of serious concern. We are closely monitoring the situation 24X7 in Pakistan," said Antony during a navy function.
"We are taking precautions. We are always taking precautions. We have to be on vigil," he said, adding that terrorists across border are waiting for an opportunity to get into India.
"Many terrorists are waiting across the border to infiltrate into Indian territory. Our armed forces are always ready to prevent that," he said.
The Defence Minister said that India is keeping an eye on the state of affairs in Pakistan.
The deadly 16-hour terror attack in the Pakistani port city, that ended on Monday, May 23, left 14 people dead including four terrorists. Two P-3C, Orion navy surveillance aircrafts were also destroyed in the attacks.
