Srinagar, May 20: To commemorate those killed during the two decades of violence in Valley, a ''martyrs memorial wall'' would be built at their burial site in Eidgah, Chairman of moderate faction of Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umer Farooq said here on Saturday, May 20.

"We will lay the foundation stone for the Martyrs memorial wall tomorrow in memory of those who lost their lives during the violence," Mirwaiz said addressing a Friday congregation at Jamia Masjid in downtown Srinagar.

Hurriyat is organising a rally at ''martyr's graveyard'' tomorrow to pay tribute to the slain leaders, Mirwaiz Mohammad Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone, who were assassinated in 1990 and 2002, respectively.

Mirwaiz appealed people to reach there in large numbers.

"It is our joint responsibility to safeguard the mission of the martyrs and take it to its logical conclusion," he said.
