22 feared dead in Argentina plane crash
However, there has been no official confirmation of the casualty.
According to the local media, the flight which was operated by regional airline Sol went down near the town of Prahuaniyeu, in the province of Rio Negro.
A statement issued by the airlines, without confirming the crash, said that of the 22 on board in the Sol flight number 5428, 19 were passengers, including one person under the age of 21, and three crew members.
The statement also said that air traffic controllers lost contact with the flight after its pilot sent an SOS call at 2050 hours local time.
Local television channels showed footage of ambulances and firefighting units rushing to the scene of crash in a hard to reach desert area of Patagonia with very few roads. The national aeronautic authorities are yet to make any comment on the reports.
