MP: BJP leader shot during altercation
Betul (MP), May 17: A local BJP leader was shot and injured over a trifle matter at village Badora near here, police said today (May 17).
BJP Slum Cell district president and former Corporator Sanjay Manakar, who was on his way to Badora from Dwarkanagar in his car, had an altercation with two persons over a truck parked on the road near a liquor shop last night, they said.
The duo thrashed and fired at Manakar, leaving him injured, and fled the spot, police said.
Manakar was admitted to district hospital from where he was shifted to a Christian missionaries'' hospital in Padar area. His condition is stated to be stable, police said.
