Modi, Bardhan, Naidu to attend Jaya's swearing-in ceremony

Modi wrote in micro-blogging site Twitter that he would be here on May 16 to "witness the swearing-in ceremony of Selvi (Ms) Dr J Jayalalithaa as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu".
CPI state secretary D Pandian told reporters that Bardhan would attend the ceremony at the Madras University Centenary Auditorium.
CPI(M) general secretary Prakash Karat would be unable to make it since he would be participating in the party'' politburo meeting scheduled in Delhi, state CPI(M) secretary G Ramakrishnan said. Both the Left parties are allies of AIAMDK.
TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu, who had participated in an election rally of AIADMK and its allies in Madurai during the poll campaign, would also attend the ceremony, official sources said.
Jayalalithaa will take oath as Chief Minister at 12.15 PM on Monday.
