Samsung Series 5 Chromebook - Grab the Future in Hands

The technology giant Google unveiled their latest innovation Chromebooks, netbooks PCs powered by the brand new operating system Chrome OS. During the Google I/O Developers Conference, Google showcased two Chromebooks manufactured by Samsung and Acer.

Samsung Series 5 Chromebook is the world's first Chromebook built on the principles of speed, simplicity and security. The new Series 5 Chromebook boasts a elegant shape and slim 0.79-inch body. It has a 12.1-inch Super Bright display screen. The display screen is both anti-reflective and anti-glare for a consistently vibrant visual experience across a variety of light conditions, from outdoors to dimly lit environments.

Series 5 Chromebook is powered with Intel Core 2 Duo N570 1.66Ghz processor, making it one of the most powered netbook available in the market. It is also enough powerful to give advanced features of Cloud Services provided through Chrome OS.

The newly developed Chrome OS makes Samsung Series 5 Chromebook faster and simpler. While the other conventional netbooks take 40 seconds for starting, Series 5 Chrombook takes only 10 seconds to start. Users can store all their data to the cloud, making it more secure even if their Chromebook has broken or lost.

For a secure experience, Chromebooks run the first consumer operating system designed from the ground up to defend against the ongoing threat of malware and viruses. They employ the principle of 'defense in depth' to provide multiple layers of protection, including sandboxing, data encryption, and verified boot.

Samsung Series 5 Chromebook offers the connectivity features like 3G, WLAN and a 4-in-1 Card Reader. Samsung claimed that these new netbooks will offer a battery life up to 8.5 hours including five hours of video play for all-day use without the need to recharge.

The Wi-Fi + 3G model will be priced at $499.99 and the Wi-Fi only model will have a price tags of $429.99. The availability and price of Samsung Series 5 in India is not yet announced.
