Mamata's 'paribartan' marching towards landslide victory

Mamata Banerjee
Mamata Banerjee's Kalighat residence is already gearing for a celebration of sorts with the numbers indicating a landslide victory ousting the Left stronghold. Even after her strict instructions on not to hold victory rallies or pompous celebrations, workers have already erupted into a festivity that will see the ouster of 34 year old Left rule.

With a Mamata wave sweeping across West Bengal, the "paribartan" (change) has already been implemented right in the election results. Her strong campaigning and war cry against the Left seems to have permeated to the public and resonated to a thumping victory. After the May 13th, the bad luck spell seem to have struck the Left and the CPM with they loosing the last remaining bastions in India. [Read: Counting begins for 5 states assembly polls 2011]

A last glance at the results; the Trinamool Congress (TMC) was 176 against a meek 67 for the CPIM, Mamata has marched ahead in her cry for paribartan. Her maa, matti and manush proclamation seem to have echoed the sentiments of Bengalis who have been rooting for a change against the alleged misrule of the left.

With her presence in the Writer's Building almost confirmed, and Mamata's fiery rhetoric to now resonate in Bengal for another 5 years, there's no stopping Mamata in her ascend to the Chief Ministership.
