Kalmadi fails to break Tihar jail; asked to stay till May 13

New Delhi, May 9: It seems that life has suddenly become very critical for the former Commonwealth Games Organising Committee (CWG OC) chief Suresh Kalmadi at Tihar jail.

The bail plea of "cool headed" Kalmadi has once again deferred till Friday, May 13. Now, the for Congress legislature has to spent five more days with the prisoners.

On Apr 26, the investigating agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Kalmadi over the charges of criminal conspiracy and and cheating under Sections 120 B and 420 under the Indian Penal Code.

On May 4, Kalmadi and two other persons - Surjit Lal and ASV Prasad, who has also been arrested in the same case, were sent to Tihar jail.

On Thursday, May 9, special Judge Talwant Singh said, "the arguments on the application will be heard May 13th."
