HTC Desire Z to get Gingerbread update in June
HTC recently announced the launch of desire Z in India with a price tag of Rs 25,590. But, many of the smartphone lovers in the country were not happy with its Android 2.2 Froyo operating system as many other manufactures introduced smartphones running on Gingerbread OS.
The Gingerbread update news was posted by an HTC customer support staff on company's support page. The post reads, "...we optimise the experience for each handset, for example, HTC Desire HD and Desire Z have different screen sizes. Gingerbread for Desire Z is coming before the end of June..."
HTC Desire Z has a 3.7-inch Super Clear LCD touchscreen with 800 x 480 pixels resolution and boasts a slide-out QWERTY keypad for fast messaging and social network connectivity. This smartphone also boasts a 5 megapixel camera at rear with HD 720p video recording capabilities.
This phone is powered with 800Mhz Qualcomm MSM7230 CPU and a 512MB RAM. Other features include Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Stereo FM radio. It has an internal memory of 1.5GB with 32 GB micro SD memory expansion support.
