BJP takes dig at Digvijay Singh
"To remain in news has become a habit of the senior Congress leader and therefore, he always give controversial statements. It appears he thinks that by doing so, he will become Congress party's International General Secretary from the national General Secretary," state BJP president Prabhat Jha told PTI here.
"Because of his continuous controversial statements, his image among the people has become that of a non-serious and irresponsible leader," he remarked.
Jha said such statements may give immediate political mileage to a particular party, but it is dangerous for the nation as the job of a politician is not to incite a group or a community.
On Singh's remarks about Laden's sea burial, the BJP leader said he wanted to know from the Congress about its stand on Mumbai and Parliament attack convicts -- Ajmal Kasab and Afzal Guru -- and whether the party heading the UPA government treats them as terrorists or not.
