JD(S) to launch a rally against Yedyurappa's misgovernance

Bangalore, May 3: In a meeting led by former Prime Minister of India and Chief Minister of Karnataka, H D Devegowda, members from various opposition parties in the state have vowed to renew their fight against the misrule of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa.

The meeting was held on May 3 and among the prominent leaders present in the meeting were former minister Benki Mahadev and B T Lalita Nayak and freedom fighter H S Doreswamy.

JD(S) will lead a three-day rally to spread awareness about the poor administration and abuse of power by the B S Yeddyurappa-led BJP government in the Karnataka. The rally will begin at all district headquarters on May 6 and will end on May 9.

Informing about the purpose of the rally, the JD(s) supremo informed, "It's not a political rally, but a movement of people against the BJP government. Writers, social activists, artista and people from all walks of life would be part of the movement along with our party workers."
