Lenovo to launch Android 10.1-inch ThinkPad tablet

Beijing, Apr 27: The Chinese computer manufacturer Lenovo is set to launch its latest tablet running on Google Android operating system. The new tablet will be dubbed as Lenovo "ThinkPad Tablet" and runs the Android tablet on Honeycomb operating system.

Technology site, ThisIsMyNext, managed to get a leaked official PowerPoint presentation, which disclosed the specifications and features. According to the PowerPoint presentation, ThinkPad Tablet will have a 10.1-inch Capacitive touchscreen display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.

The Honeycomb OS would be powered by a Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, which will offer enough power to run HD movies and 3D games. The Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet also offers a mini-HDMI port to connect with other compatible devices to ensure maximum entertainment to the users.

Connectivity options on Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro USB slots, SD card slot and USB 2.0 port. This device measures 0.55 inches and weighs 715 grams. This upcoming tablet will also support Microsoft ActiveSync and password integration with Active Directory.

It is expected that the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet will be available in the international market within a couple of months. Anyhow, Lenovo has not yet confirmed the existence of ThinkPad tablet. So, stay tuned for more updates.
