False charges against Shanti Bhushan: Kiran Bedi

Ghaziabad, April 27: Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi has claimed that "false charges" are being levelled against the Jan Lokpal Bill Drafting Committee member Shanti Bhushan through the CD episode.

"Frivolous and fictitious charges have been levelled against committee member Shanti Bhushan to compel him to leave the issue," Bedi said here yesterday, adding however, the fight against corruption will continue at any cost.

Anna Hazare's close aide Bedi also said that it is not necessary for her to be a part of the committee to fight corruption as she can continue her war against the menace even from outside.

"I will fight against the corruption till my last breath even being out of the committee," Bedi, the first woman IPS officer of the country, said at a college function.

When asked about whether there was corruption in the police department, she said that none of the the government departments seem to be free from corruption.
