Royal snub for Obamas!
The much awaited marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton is ringing its bell on the door. The British monarchy on Saturday, Apr 23 officially announced its 1,900 invitees names including Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha Cameron; soccer star David Beckham and his wife Victoria, musician Elton John and many more.
The British royal family missed US president Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama to invite. Though recently, the first lady in US expressed her desire to attend that royal wedding.
Despite the royal snub, the Obamas will be guests of their own state visit to the UK in May, 2011. There has been buzz that a state visit for President Obama was set up because there would have been expensive costs associated with added security to protect him at the wedding, sources reported.
However, about 40 other foreign royals from countries including Denmark, Norway, Spain, Thailand, and Morocco. British soldiers, who have fought in Afghanistan and people, who work for William's charity, also have been invited for the royal wedding which is set to occur on Apr 29.
