Digvijay Singh takes on Shanti Bhushan yet again

Lucknow, Apr 21: Once again hurling his attack on the former Law minister Shanti Bhushan, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh claimed that the Bhushans should come up with the clarification on their stand in the Noida farm land controversy.

"The Bhushans should give clarification about the Noida land controversy," stated the Congress leader. When asked about his opinion about Shanti Bhushan's resignation from the anti-corruption Lokpal panel, Digvijay Singh said, "Shanti Bhushan should decide on his stepping down from the committee."

Mr Singh, replying to the queries on Shanti Bhushan's defamation notice to him, informed, "I have not received any notice from Bhushan and even if I do, I will not reply to it."

Shanti Bhushan has faced the Congress leader's criticism as a recent report showed that the CD which contains conversations between Shanthi Bhushan and Mulayam Singh Yadav was not doctored. The CD was analysed in a government-owned forensic laboratory and found to have been untouched and not tampered with. The revelations will not spell good news for those rallying against corruption and will definitely act as a stumbling block to the passing of the bill.

After the CD controversy, the Bhushans also landed in a land scam in which the Bhushan family has been accused of acquiring two prime farm house plots in Noida from Mayawati government at a throwaway price in Uttar Pradesh.
