Mayawati's review meetings an eyewash: Samajwadi Party

Lucknow, April 20: Claiming that review meetings being held by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati were an eyewash to divert attention of the people from poor law and order situation in the state, Samajwadi Party today (April 20) demanded a white paper on results of these meetings.

"The review meetings being called by Mayawati are an eyewash to divert attention of people from law and order problem in the state. We demand a white paper from the government on result of these meetings, which have become picnic for officers posted in districts," SP leader Shivpal Singh Yadav told reporters.

He said that law and order was at it's worse and government officers were being murdered due to prevailing corruption, which has touched its peak.

Claiming that resignations have been taken from health minister Anant Kumar Mishra and family welfare minister Babu Singh Khushwaha to befool people, Yadav said that both of them were still availing government facilities.
